Continuing the Legacy
Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A. was founded by Anthony Battaglia in 1958. For over 60 years, the Firm has represented people charged with crimes across Florida and in Pinellas County. Mr. Battaglia represented countless defendants at the State and Federal level including numerous high profile cases. Sean McQuaid now handles the criminal work for the Firm. He specializes in State court cases for all felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic matters. He works primarily in Pinellas County where he is able to know all of the judges and prosecutors. He has found that by focusing on one county, he is able to understand the preferences and procedures to gain advantages for his clients. Focusing on one county has also allowed him to develop a reputation for honesty and success.
Mr. McQuaid recognizes that most cases in the criminal justice system are as a result of drugs or alcohol. His practice is geared toward helping first time offenders avoid repercussions that could negatively impact their future. He understands the importance of a clean record when applying for a job. He realizes that the underlying problem of drugs and alcohol needs to be addressed.
Giving Back to the Community
In addition to his legal work, Mr. McQuaid is devoted to giving back to the community. He is currently the President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. His term runs from 2020-21. Mr. McQuaid previously served several years on the City of St. Petersburg Nuisance Abatement Board. For two of those years, he was Chair. He also served a term on the Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, a position that recommends judges for appointment to the Governor. He has been President of his Homeowner’s Association and served on the Executive Committee of the Suncoast Make-A-Wish Foundation.
We Appreciate You
The clients at our Firm are truly our biggest asset. It is because of all of the people who have worked hard to help themselves, that we are able to continue to achieve successful results. We appreciate this accolade and are devoted to continuing our legacy to the community.
