Facts:
My client was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for suspicion of DUI. As the driver was pulling over, the cops witnessed a bag of cocaine being thrown out of the window. Post miranda, my client admitted to throwing the cocaine out the window.

The Case:
My client lives out of state, had no prior history, and holds a position that requires him to be able to pass a background test. Thus, it was pertinent that this charge not be on his record. I instructed him to complete a substance abuse evaluation (SAE), take a urine analysis (UA), and complete 25-hours of community service (CSH).

The Result:
My client got straight to work and completed the SAE, UA, and CSHs quickly. Because of that, I was able to get everything over to the State prior to them making a filing decision and convince them to dismiss the case. The case was dismissed within a month of arrest, my client never had to appear in court, and we have already begun the process of expunging this record.
